PMI-ACP Overview
The PMI-ACP ® certification is for anyone involved in product development with a large amount of complexity and uncertainty. Obtaining the credential recognises an individual’s skills in using Agile tools and techniques to navigate complex projects towards satisfactory outcomes successfully.
What is the PMI?
The PMI is the worlds largest not-for-profit organisation specifically designed and made for project management professionals. The PMI’s worldwide advocacy for project management is upheld by its globally recognised standards, regulations and certification program, extensive academic and market research programs, chapters and communities of practice, and professional development opportunities.
To achieve a PMP certification, each candidate must under go educational and experiential standards established by PMI and must demonstrate an acceptable and valid level of understand and knowledge about project management that is tested by the project management professional certification examination.
The Agile Certified Practitioner course is a great way to get an overview and practice the Agile methods.
What’s involved in the PMI Program?
This Program fulfils the PMI® requirement of 21 contact hours which an ACP® aspirant needs to have before applying for the ACP® Certification Examination. The Program also aims to train the participants to be active Project Managers using Agile methodologies.
